Terms and conditions
of trading.
The first thing that we must remember
is that we are dealing with nature. We honestly can not take a chick
or growing bird off the shelf at any time of the year in the same
way a shopkeeper can sell you a tin of carrots. Often when people
can supply anything at any time, they are dealing & often buy stock
from markets and quickly selling it on. We do not sell any birds
that have not been bred at Poultry Park except for our Hybrids which
are fully inoculated and are sold at point of lay.
Hatching eggs.
We only sell eggs laid by birds
that produce the eggs we set ourselves. We can not guarantee fertility
but we believe all eggs to be fertile. The postal process can have
an effect on the viability. (Remember an egg can still be fertile
but the ability of the sperm to turn in to en embryo can be reduced).
Therefore we do not guarantee hatching. We have a tried and tested
method packing eggs ready for transport. In the unlikely event of
breakage's you must tell us within 24 hours of receipt. We can then
claim a refund from the carriers and replace the eggs for you. Eggs
and carriage costs must be paid in full before dispatch - we will
telephone you to advise when the eggs have left us.
Live birds.
Live birds are sold on the following
conditions. Day old chicks are sold as hatched. That means they
are totally unsexed. Birds 6 weeks and upwards, we can usually sex
but remember some breeds are more difficult to sex than others.
We will always replace wrongly sexed birds with like for like on
condition that replacement birds are available. Otherwise we will
refund the purchase price. This offer is open for 1 month (28 days)
from original purchase and collection.
Health status.
All birds at Poultry Park are
kept under a strict health regime. The health is checked regularly
and treatment including vaccination and inoculation will be given
as deemed necessary by our veterinary surgeon. You must notify us
within 24 hours if birds collected from us show any sign of sickness.
In the unlikely event of death we will need immediate notification
and a full veterinary surgeons post-morton report before any claim
can be entered. The above terms will be strictly adhered to. The
above conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
All live stock and
hatching eggs are subject to availability on date of delivery.
